Bessette's Guide to Newport Beach
Welcome to our little slice of heaven — Newport Beach. It’s where Bessette was born, where your orders are packed with love, and where we dream up new products and collections. This guide is part love letter, part local’s list: a curated roundup of our favorite spots to eat, sip, shop, and slow down. Whether you’re planning a trip or just want to explore like a local, we’ve got you covered.
Where to Stay
Lido House: Preppy coastal perfection meets boutique charm. In a great location too – located just a short walk to the beach and across the street from Lido Marina Village (lots of great coffee, food, and shopping spots here!)
Pelican Hill: If you're feeling fancy! Think ocean views, spa days, and robes you’ll wish you could take home.
Balboa Bay Resort: A waterfront retreat with all the Newport Beach amenities - an upscale spa, waterfront restaurant, pool, and a private marina!
Where to Grab Coffee

Huskins Coffee: Small island charm, delicious coffee, and a must-stop before a walk around Balboa Island! Our office is right across the street :)
Herst Coffee: Delicious coffee and pastries on Lido Village! Grab a coffee and explore the shops along the water.
Kit Coffee: A stylish, light-filled café in Newport Beach known for its specialty lattes, fresh bites, and laid-back coastal vibe.
Alta Coffee: Cozy corner café with the best chai latte in town!
Daydream Coffee: A breezy, light-filled café inside a surf and vintage boutique, serving expertly crafted lattes, seasonal sips, and locally baked pastries in a laid-back surf‑culture vibe.
Where to Eat and Drink

Malibu Farm: Super cute restaurant right on the water in Lido Village. Great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! The margaritas here are our favorite!
Bear Flag Fish Co. – Casual seafood, super fresh, and always packed with locals. We love the ahi poke and blackened shrimp tacos!
Zinqué Lido Island: The cutest restaurant right on the water in Lido Village! Grab a glass of rosé and a Le Bowl and watch the boats go by.
Crystal Cove Shake Shack: The cutest burger and shake shack built into the cliff in Newport Coast.
Coliseum Pool Grill at Pelican Hill: Lunch with a view... and what a view. Resort life at its finest!
The Cannery: Waterfront dining with a cute vintage twist! A great place to take your Duffy and stop off for happy hour!
Gary’s New York Deli – East Coast deli classics in the heart of Corona Del Mar. Order your sandwich to go and eat it at the beach or park! Shannon loves the Reuben sandwich :)
Farmhouse at Roger’s Gardens: A farm-to-table restaurant tucked into Roger’s Gardens. Lauren’s loves the chopped vegetable salad :)
Crocker’s: A teeny tiny little restaurant on Balboa Island. Our favorite place to grab lunch when we’re at the office! Cait loves the corn dog :) Look for the Bessette dollar on the wall and send us a picture if you find it!
What to Do
Walk around Balboa Island: Stroll the cute cottages, shop up and down Marine Avenue, wave at the Bessette office, eat a Balboa Bar or Frozen Banana, and feel like you're in a Nancy Meyers movie.

Shopping & lunch at Lido Village: Cute boutiques, gorgeous bay views, and the ultimate long-lunch spot on the water.
Go for a Duffy ride: A Newport Beach rite of passage. Rent a Duffy boat for a couple of hours and bring snacks, a speaker, and your best friends! You can even stop tie your boat to a public dock and head to lunch!
